Uncompromisingly, A Woman

My Response to Daily Prompt: Uncompromising

I wear a cloak of doubt

Shivers and gasps hold me back

I am not where I am supposed to be

Just floating aimlessly into my destiny

Is that what living life is supposed to be?

Some days I am strong and powerful

Other days I am nothing more than a radical,

Scaring away what is best for me

I guess it’s safe to say that –

I am a woman, uncompromisingly

We are usually confused, yet confident in our skin

And to that, I relate consistently

I demonstrate that effortlessly

Each day I wear an invisible crown

I carry myself like the queen of my town

At least I have that part figured out..
